The pen tool workshop · close a loop, sculpt it, keep it

Place anchors, close the loop, then sculpt the curve by hand · and keep the path to flow type along, fill as a shape, or lay down as a guide.

1. Place anchors

   Click points and a live line follows, with guides calling out alignments. Click the first point or press return to close the loop.

2. Sculpt the loop

   The closed loop stays editable · drag points, bend the curve by dragging the line itself, remove or convert points between corner and curve.

3. Keep it

   Save the path and bring it back anywhere · flow type along it, fill it as a shape, or lay it down as a guide.
